Education & Culture

Education and culture is recognised by the Bertarelli Foundation as a fundamental basis for the development of future generations and therefore an area which is worth taking care of.

Over the years strong personal links have been built by family members with different educational institutions in Switzerland and internationally, such as Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, Babson College, Ecole Moser, Harvard Medical School and Harvard Business School.

Through these links, the Foundation is actively supporting a number of projects, particularly in lifesciences research. The funding of two chairs at the new EPFL Center for Neuroprosthesis is a significant example.

Helping those who need access to a better education, especially children, is another priority of the Bertarelli Foundation’s activity and the reason for its involvement in projects such as the Henna Pre-School in South Africa.
